Privacy Notice
This English version is provided for your convenience. Personal Data Coach operates from Mexico and the processing of your personal data is governed by the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (published 20 March 2025). In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
1. In short
I use your data to advise you and build your learning path. If you upload your CV, its contents are sent to an artificial intelligence provider to generate your assessment. I do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. You can ask me to delete it at any time by writing to admin@personaldatacoach.com.
What follows is the full version, which is the legally binding one.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Personal Data Coach is responsible for processing your personal data. Hereafter, the «Controller».
As this is an entirely online operation, the designated channel for anything related to your personal data is the email address admin@personaldatacoach.com. If you need a physical address for formal notices, request it through that same channel and it will be provided.
3. What personal data I process
The law requires me to tell you exactly what I collect, not to describe it in general terms. This is the complete list, by stage of the relationship:
| When | Data collected |
|---|---|
| When you fill in the contact form | Name, email address, the goal you describe in your own words, and your browsing language. |
| During the diagnostic interview | Full name, email, phone, company and job title, your LinkedIn profile URL, your CV file if you choose to share it, and your answers to the questionnaire. |
| If you become a student | Login credentials (your password is stored hashed and I cannot read it), profile picture if you upload one, booked sessions, messages we exchange, assignments and submissions, lesson notes and your progress log. |
| Automatically, for technical operation | A strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. I do not use advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling cookies. |
I do not collect sensitive personal data — racial or ethnic origin, health status, genetic information, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, political opinions or sexual preference — and I ask that you not include any in free-text fields or in your CV.
I do not collect financial or asset data through this platform. Any payment takes place outside of it.
4. Why I process it
Necessary purposes
Without these I cannot provide the service; if you object, the relationship cannot begin or continue:
- Contacting you to schedule and hold the diagnostic session.
- Producing your data-skills assessment, with its radar chart and the suggested 3, 6 and 12-month paths.
- Creating and administering your platform account.
- Scheduling sessions, giving you access to lessons and materials, reviewing your assignments and following up.
- Sending you operational notices: session confirmation, reminders, password recovery and new-message alerts.
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests from competent authorities.
Optional purposes
These are not necessary for the service. You may refuse them now, or at any point afterwards, without affecting what you already contracted:
- Sending you educational content, magazine articles and programme news.
- Inviting you to webinars, workshops or new programmes.
- Using your case in anonymised form — without your name, your employer or any identifying detail — for statistics or to improve the questionnaire.
How to refuse optional purposes: email admin@personaldatacoach.com with the subject «Optional purposes» and tell me which ones you do not want. You have 5 business days from being shown this notice to object, and you may also do so at any time afterwards. No explanation needed.
5. Artificial intelligence: what is sent, and to whom
This deserves its own section because it is the least obvious transfer and the one most worth understanding.
To generate your assessment, the platform sends the following to Anthropic PBC (provider of the Claude language model, based in the United States):
- Your answers to the diagnostic questionnaire.
- The text extracted from your CV, if you shared it. The file itself is not sent; its text is extracted and that text travels in the request.
- Your LinkedIn profile URL, if provided.
- Your name, job title and employer, so the analysis has context.
This is sent through Anthropic's commercial API. Under that provider's current commercial terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models.
Sharing your CV and LinkedIn is optional. If you would rather not, the assessment is still generated from your interview answers alone; it will simply be less specific. Just say so and nothing gets uploaded.
6. Other transfers and processors
Beyond the above, your data is processed by the following providers, acting on behalf of the Controller and solely for the purposes described:
| Provider | Purpose | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Namecheap, Inc. | Website and database hosting | Everything stored on the platform |
| Anthropic PBC | Assessment generation | As detailed in the artificial intelligence section |
| Transactional email provider | Delivery of operational notices | Your name, your email and the notice content |
| Google LLC | Syncing your session to your calendar, only if you authorise it | Date, time and title of the session |
I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. I do not share it with advertisers, marketing agencies or data brokers. Outside the cases listed, I would only transfer your data in the circumstances the law permits without your consent, such as a duly founded request from a competent authority.
7. How long I keep it
- If we never end up working together: I keep your file and CV for 12 months from our last contact, in case we resume the conversation. After that, the CV is deleted and the file is anonymised.
- If you are or were a student: I keep your file for the duration of the relationship and up to 5 years after it ends, under applicable tax retention and civil liability periods.
- If you ask me to delete it: I proceed within the timeframes in the rights section, except for anything I am legally required to retain, which I will specify.
8. Your rights and how to exercise them
You have the right to Access your data, to Rectify it if inaccurate, to Cancel it when you believe it is no longer needed, and to Object to a specific processing activity. You may also withdraw your consent at any time and limit the use or disclosure of your data.
How
Email admin@personaldatacoach.com with the subject «ARCO rights» and include:
- Your name and an email or channel to reply to.
- A copy of official identification, to prove you are the data subject. If acting through a representative, also their identification and the document evidencing representation.
- A clear description of which data is concerned and which right you are exercising.
- Anything that helps locate your data.
Timeframes
I will reply within a maximum of 20 business days from receiving your complete request. If granted, it will be made effective within the following 15 business days. The process is free of charge; only justified shipping or reproduction costs could be charged if you request copies on a specific medium.
Shortcut: to withdraw consent for the AI analysis and have your CV deleted, no formal procedure is needed. Just write to me and I will do it. The full procedure exists for your protection, not as an obstacle.
9. How I protect your data
- The site runs over HTTPS and passwords are stored using a hashing algorithm; not even I can read them.
- CVs are stored outside the server's public reach, with randomised filenames and direct download blocked at the web-server level.
- The interview file, the log and internal notes are visible to the administrator only. You see your published analysis; never the internal log.
- Administrative access is restricted and protected by failed-attempt throttling.
No system is infallible. Should a breach occur that significantly affects your rights, I will notify you without delay and tell you which data was involved and what you can do.
10. Changes to this notice
I may amend this notice when services, providers or legislation change. The version in force will always be published at this same address, with its version number and date visible at the top. If the change is substantial — a new purpose, or a new provider receiving your data — I will notify you by email and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
Previous versions are kept: if you consented to an earlier version, you can request the exact text you accepted at admin@personaldatacoach.com.
11. If you are not satisfied
If you believe your right to personal data protection has been infringed, you may turn to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties published on 20 March 2025 assumed the powers in this area previously held by INAI.
Before that, I would appreciate it if you wrote to me. Almost everything gets resolved faster by talking it through.
12. Consent
By submitting the contact form, providing your data during the diagnostic interview or using the platform, you confirm that you have read this notice and consent to the processing of your personal data for the necessary purposes described herein.
The transfer of your CV contents to the artificial intelligence provider requires your express consent, which is requested separately before the file is uploaded and which you may withdraw at any time.
